I threw up...Not a PB.

Recommended Posts

A pb for me has NEVER been as simple as opening my mouth and simply regurgitating.

I always heave violently and if it has happened in public, you can bet your bottom dollar everyone else within earshot hears it too - its loud and violent exactly like vomiting.

the only difference is I'm not desperately nauseated, panicky, and vomiting entire stomach contents and acid. Its usually a small amount. But it often takes two or three heaves to eject what was bothering me.

Wow! I guess I should consider myself lucky to be able to have an easy PB then huh! Thanks for sharing. I would want to sink into the floor if i had a PB episode in front of peeps. I suppose it is yet to come. I have been able to excuse myself and make it to the restroom or outside.

I am always worried someone will notice and comment on it. It just embarases me to no end. Mine are not too bad...I cant do it into a bottle...I can into a cup...that is why I keep cups in the car with lids so I can take them to the trash with out anyone noticing it. lol But I am getting ready to stay with my parents for 2 weeks...and I am nervious about them noticing. ugg

That is EXACTLY what I experience :cursing::cursing:

I will add - when I say "in public" I do get plenty of warning and have always made it to a bathroom, lol. Its just that everyone else in there at the time can get to enjoy it too!

I had an episode of projectile vomiting and ended up with a huge hiatal hernia and I had to have hernia repair & band revision. I had PB'd before but nothing like the vomiting. I had been too tight and had been deflated a couple of times. Anyway, it wasn't pretty, and I will be more careful about all the signs that I was warned about.

Well, I got to say, I never thought I would be fascinated with a thread such as this but it was instructive, funny and informative. Heck, it took me quite a while ,being new to this site, to figure out just what the heck "pb" meant. My operator errors usually lead to a few pb's not just one, but I do believe one of the commentators is right when they talk about the absence of acid. Thanks for the informative thread.

Lol.

I must say though, I've never had the "I cant remember eating THAT" experience with a PB, like you do with vomiting (where on earth do the carrots come from?).

I understand what you mean, I had a business lunch the other day and got stuck....fun. We are going home over the holidays and this will be the first time I will see some of my family since being banded....I am a bit nervous as to how they will take my portion size and GOD I hope I don't have to excuse myself to PB. If I do, however I hope I can make it funny!

Phew, thank goodness! LOL Just kidding with you a bit. I've been fortunate to have time to make it to the bathroom too. Although when I am at home, I normally use the kitchen sick.....ewwhh I know but it's the truth.

At home I use my sink too. It is tall enough that I dont have to bend over...and for me that is important. Mostly for me it is just slime. So not a huge deal...and noone is arround to whitness it at my house lol One plus to living alone.

Yeah I am visiting family that has not seen me since I got the band...and my nieces...So I am not sure how I will handle it.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
