How many CCs was your first fill??

Recommended Posts

My first fill was on my 6 week anniversary.

I got pumped with 6.5cc in my 9cc band.

Let me tell you... now it all makes sense.. what they call restriction... it is no joke...

But I LOVE it !!!

I just came home from my one week post op visit. I talked to my Dr. and told him that I had yet to feel the feeling of being "full". He said some people do not have the restriction feeling, and that it would take a fill to cause restriction for me. I am scheduled for Dec. 22 to get my first fill. I laughed, and asked him if we could just wait for Dec. 26th instead... ha ha. He did not seem to agree with me and promised that I would still be able to have a little on Christmas for dinner!

The best news I had today was that I am down 20 pounds from what I weighed on 11-15-05 right before I started a 5 day liquid diet before surgery. That was a great kick start to my new life!!!

I started with 2.0 (4 cc band too). I have very little if any restriction. I am 5'9 and the doc said that taller women usually need more. I guess I need more :-) I have made an appt for 12/22 for my next fill which will be 5 weeks after the 1st.

I am 5'9 and am a week out of surgery. I do not have any feeling of restriction and my doctor said that was normal in some people. I am still curious to see what my feeling of restriction will feel like. I am scheduled for my first fill on 12/22. Thank goodness my doctor is only 30 minutes from home and seems very available for fills.

I have a 4 size port. My first fill was 2.0. Not hardly restricted. But still lost 5 pounds in two weeks. I went last week and she put in another .6cc. Was restricted first two days. Had two pb's. Next week she will fill it .6 again putting it to 3.6 out of a 4ccc port. I hope I dont choke. kathy

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
