I'll name it nike to be possitive.... maybe it'll help

it has nothing to do with the shoe, its something very precious to me that I am even crying right now At the thought of naming it nike then possibly killing it.

LOL penni thats my dogs name "Iggy" which is short for his full registered name of Secret Agent Igloo.

I'll have to wait till I get mine next week to name it...kinda like I waited till my children were born to fully decide on their names.

I think I will name mine bandit because like a bandit, it will steal my urges to overeat and keep me in check. Yeah, I like that name Bandit

Mine is a girl and I am going to call her LB. Not for Lap Band, but after a very special cocker spaniel who saved my life, Laura Beth. In loving memory of her and all she did for me. I miss her, so maybe this will help me feel that she is always within me.

"Thang", cause when I'm eating and I start to get that funny look on my face like something didn't go down just right, he always says,"Is that thang stuck".

I named mine "Cinch"

Because it will help me cinch my belt a little tigher :-)

And it cinches my stomach :-)

And with my band as a tool, it will be a cinch to lose weight!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
