Charlene K, I am so glad Savella is working so well for you. I hope it continues long term. I tried Savella for 3 days and got the shakes because I take Zoloft as well. Have you noticed any reduction of anxiety or depression?(if you have that challenge) I would be afraid of going off my Zoloft otherwise.

My new muscle relaxer seems to help. Like you, I'm hoping the effects don't wear off.

Hang in there everyone.

Tina

I guess I must have been depressed because I do feel so much better....the pain was getting to me. I have read a lot on Savella and you are not supposed to take it with Zoloft or many SSRI's because of the serotonin. I guess if you do it really can cause major side effects. I still have low bp, but my pulse has gone down. I think maybe I need to get off of my bp medicine. I still need to go in and talk to the dr. I just can't believe how much better I feel. Now, the weather is going to change on Wednesday and I will know if it takes care of the IBS. I was taking muscle relaxers before this med. They help too. Glad your's is working for you. Everyone needs to seek out the best solution for their pain.

Take Care!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
