I am so flipping HUNGRY I can't stand it!!!!!!

Ok I am so hungry this week I could eat my arm, it is 6:00pm right now and I have already had 1000 calories and I am so HUNGRY! I hate this! I called my docs office today and moved my fill to next Wednesday 9/2 (it was 9/9). I just could not wait. So this 3rd fill will be 2 1/2 weeks after my 2nd fill. The scale has not budged from 230lbs and I am dying to see 225lbs but with this hunger I might not ever get there! It's weird....my fills seem to be great the week after I get them, and then week 2 I seem to be getting more hungry eat time! BLAH I am hungry lol. Someone tell me they have had something similar happen to them!!!!!!!!!????????????? :thumbdown:

I am not going to say eventually I won't feel like you do but I haven't yet. I have no fills so maybe that plays into it. How much Protein are you getting a day? I usually get at least 100 grams a day on average sometimes more. I also eat between 1200-1500 calories a day. When I started I was only 2 lbs less at 250 lbs. so our calorie intake should be about the same. If you are only getting 100 calories in a day it is possible your body is in starvation mode. And I would suggest going back to shakes if that worked for you. I still have at least a shake a day mainly to get my protein in. It will all work out don't stress and get more calories than just 1000 a day.

I felt the same way 2 weeks ago. It was a week prior to my period and all I wanted to do was eat.

Here I am two weeks later, I have not had a fill since July 10th and I am so tight that I am full after just a few bites.

This band is a much more complicated device then I ever imagined it would be. I haven't lost any weight in almost 3 weeks.

I have days where I am hungry, but I am usually able to work throught them. I only had one fill so far, 3cc's in a 10 cc band, my next fill is scheduled for 9/14/09. Right now my meals are 1/2 cup portions with two 2 oz Snacks a day if I need them, and I average between 715 and 800 calories a day. I average about 65 gr of Protein a day.

I found that a warm cup of broth or herbal tea seems to help the hunger, and I try to distract myself.

      Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

        As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

        Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

      Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
