I was banded 8/4 and had lost 18 pounds but put 3 back on once the diarrhea stopped! Personally, I don't think I'll lose much more until I get a fill. Very frustrating!

If my home scale is to be trusted, I was down to 191 this morning, which means a 9lb loss :w00t: since my surgery on 8/11. I go for my post op appt (can't wait to get all these staples out) so I will get and "official" weight then. The 192 on my ticker is from yesterday. I figure I will make Tuesdays my official weigh day, since that is the day I had surgery  Needless to say that I am quite pleased. But I also know it will slow down. On average I am only consuming between 500 & 600 calories a day at the moment.

I was banded 8/7/09. I have lost 6 pounds post op and 15 pre op for a total of 21. It moves slow but steady. I think as I continue to heal, move and eat more protien, it will move faster. My treadmill I ordered should be in by Sept. 2 so I'm hoping that will move things along.

Hang in there it will happen!

Hey. I've only lost a few pounds since my surgery. Don't worry about it, my surgeon said it is very common not to lose much weight until the first fill. I'd also like to mention that losing more than a few pounds a week is super unhealthy. Remember, you want to be losing fat not muscle! So make sure you get in as much Protein as you can and realize it will take some time for the weight to come off, but it will happen!

Yeah I only lost 3 lbs since my surgery but 3 lbs in one week is pretty good so I am happy with that. Honestly I did expect to lose more though since our diets right now are so restrictive but its ok, I will take my 3lb lost and be happy with it!! Slow and steady wins the race!!!

I took a Fluid tablet yesterday and dropped an instant 2kg (4.4 lb)

am now at 94.7kg, so 12.1kg (27 lb) since pre-op 3 weeks ago (surgery 13/8) really happy with that!!!!

Only having 3 x Optifast a day, and one Continental hearty beef Cupasoup, plus a chuppa=chup lollipop to suck on for some flavour, 2 cups of black tea, 1 glass weight watchers cordial, and 2 cups Water.

I am doing good - I can keep it going for another week. I have to make food for family and sometimes the urge to have some is real tough.

I have taken to licking food just to satisfy myself. ie a biscuit, a potato crisp or a piece of pizza - plenty of flavour to be enjoyed with no calories' I know it sounds weird but if that is what it takes to stick to a diet (which I am!!!!) who cares, eh?

Took my bandages off last night - that was really exciting!!!! my scars have healed really well and bruising is almost gone - you can barely see them, little more than little fine scratches... SO MUCH BETTER than I expected!!!!!!!

My doctor must be a miracle worker... only 7 days from surgery and from 2 foot away you can't see a thing!!!!

I didn't have a pre-op diet and stayed about the same weight up to surgery, which was 8/5 but then I dropped 18 pounds the first 13 days and now I have been the same every weight since, even though I have been walking more each day.

I start mushies tonight, so I don't expect to lose anymore weight till my first fill which is mid September and wouldn't be surprised if I gain some but I don't know. Everyone who has some time on us say be patient it will happen.

I'm 3 weeks post-op and have not lost a lb since my first week post-op. I admit it is a little discouraging, esp. since I am averaging 1000-1200 calories a day and walking some. Oh-well, that is how it goes I guess.

I will get my first fill on Aug 29th so hopefully I feel restriction???? I guess we will see . . .

All that to say, try to stay positive and patient; I'm sure the weight will start dropping soon!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
