Food Ideas for being Plateaued.

Recommended Posts

I need help with food ideas. I haven't lost weight since January and this last month I finally pushed 5lbs off of me. Which I am very excited for. I just worked harder at the gym.

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of foods that are quick and easy to prepare. I dont have time to cook all my meals in one day or to cook every night. I was wondering there is a quick recipe that someone swears by.

For Breakfast I either do pb on light wheat (1 piece obviously) to get Protein or 2 egg whites and 1 whole egg scrambled with salsa and ff cheese on top. Those are easy for me.....

Please share your secrets.....

Miss you all! I am going to try to connect more on here again!

For a quick, easy and not too expensive dinner, we stop at the supermarket and buy a cooked roasted chicken for only $7 and microwave veggie bag. It feeds 3 of us.

I also cook boneless chicken on the grill, have it with a salad....

hope this helps....

I feel like a broken record because I say this so much. My favorite Protein source right now is plain 0% fat greek yogurt - it's not high in calories, has no fat, super low in carbs and 5 oz has 15g protein. By itself, it tastes like sour cream so I use it as a sour cream substitute and dip chicken, etc in it. My fav way to eat it is 5oz with 1 or 2 tbsp Peanut Butter mixed in...it tastes delicious! I have that for Breakfast every morning, and if I need a snack I eat it then as well. You can also mix in splenda, fruit, etc and it takes on that flavor. Last night I mixed in the ranch dip powder to make ranch dip and had veggies with it.

Try Fage greek yogurt

You can google it to find their home page and most health food stores carry it or you might find it at your supermarket.

Yea I do the Fage yogurt. Make sure you do a low-fat one. I do the Fage Total 0% which has no fat, but they also have a 2% one. Fage tends to be thicker than the other brands, but I like the consistency more.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
