I am addicted. I'm great about getting it Decaf and nonfat, but still hooked non-the-less. So what's my best bet if I get something?

I am not a fan of straight up black coffee.

Love all of the iced drinks.

I know I'm not suppose to drink my calories, but this is definitely a weakness for me. Any thoughts? TIA!

I become a fan of the Skinny vanilla latte. The skinny means its skim milk and sugar free vanilla. You can get it iced or hot.

Granted - It doesnt sound very manly (a problem you wont have to deal with) when its called out but I have come to terms with there are worst things than being called skinny.

Iced grande skinny vanilla latte for me as well. It is 60 calories. You can add extra pumps of the sugar free vanilla if you like it really sweet- 5 extra calories per pump. You can go on-line to starbucks on confirm my calorie count is accurate- going off memory here. I just ordered a bottle of sugar free vanilla Syrup last night from starbucks so that I can make it at home and save $4. I will just use coffee rather than expresso, skim milk, ice, and the sugar free syrup. So far the skinny vanilla latte is the lowest calorie drink I have found at starbucks- other than plain black coffee.

Starbucks is awesome! I have been making my own at home using their brew and my blender. It has worked well and I can control calories myself.

On another note, I know I will get blasted for liking these, but I enjoy Monster energy drinks. I drink the low-carb and about two or three a week. Since banding, I have ventured a bit but it made me a spot sick. It has been the only thing thus far that has made me ill.

I'm a total Starbucks fiend! The surgery has put a little bit of a cramp in my style, but I have found something that I like...with NO calories.

I'm not a fan of their regular coffee...it's too strong for me, so I get a TALL iced Americano (2 shots of espresso with Water and ice) but I ask for it in a VENTI cup, that way, it's diluted with more Water and ice. Add a few splenda and it's a perfect iced coffee.

If you order it that way, you could ask for room and add some skim milk if you'd like. I have found that with a tall in a venti cup, it's a nice mild iced coffee. Be sure to tell them to fill the rest of the cup with ice and water, otherwise, they'll give you a venti cup that is half full

That's my latest favorite. I'm sure you could use some sugar free Syrup in it, too :) Enjoy!

I get an Iced Trippio with sugar free hazelnut, but absolutely cannot give up the half and half. Believe me, I have tried it with all the other milk options. In fact even told the nutritionist and the doctor that if that is my only vice these days, then I am using half and half.

I'm not a coffee drinker, but I used to be addicted to their hot chocolate. I would always get a venti hot chocolate.< /p>

Double tall soy latte, then I add 3 splenda and cinnamon! YUMMERS!! Its 130 cals but I cannot do straight coffee and not have milk in it and I love the foam! (can't do reg or skim either-lactose intolerant) I used to get the double tall soy white mocha with 1 pump extra white chocolate, which was 360+ cals but my nutritionist was all CUT THAT OUT NOW when I went to my first meeting with her!!! So I just do the soy latte! Sometimes I get a tall red eye and add soy and splenda and cinnamon. Its good!

i tried one of their strawberry banana Protein smoothies the other day, which has more calories that i usually like to drink, but a decent amount of protein for a starbucks product.

it was okay, but a little on the sweet side.

i had them make it with non-fat milk, since it normally comes with 2%. i've learned the best 4 words to add to the end of my starbucks order is "non-fat, no whip". that usually saves me 200-300 calories. :-D

Speaking of coffee. I love to get the iced coffee at Mc Donald's. I get the sugar free vanilla. It is so refreshing and less than 2 bucks.

I may have some other advice to offer all the Sbux fans out there...I'm a barista! I definitely learned the hard way to stay away from all the sugary drinks and the frappucinos when I first started to work for the company! Its like a version of the freshman 15 I swear!! Anyhow, everyone who enjoys the skinny lattes is right...they're awesome! There are no calories in sugar free Syrup, it is made with splenda. You can choose from SF vanilla, caramel, hazelnut, and cinnamon dolce. A tall skinny latte is 90 calories. Or, my personal favorite (and how I survive an 8 hour shift of temptation!) is a venti iced coffee with extra ice and some of my store bought fat free vanilla Creamer. I just get the coffee from Starbucks and add my own creamer for like 50 calories. It is a delightful summer treat! Or, you can get a caramel frappucino light with sugar free caramel if you need something guilt free and sweet! Stay away from the white mocha...it is BAD! :)

I too am a fan of the skinny vanilla latte. I drink and still loose weight. Just include in your daily calorie intake.

I am new here today... and only two weeks out from my sleeve surgery on the 23rd. I am amazed I have kept my calories down to 467 today so far... that leaves me almost 750 left for dinner and maybe a snack. This is going to be tough for two weeks... but I have to believe I can do it!

Hey everyone. I'm new here so I thought I should introduce myself. I am 53y/o and am scheduled for Gastric Bypass on June 25th, 2025. I'm located in San Antonio, Texas. I will be having my surgery in Tiajuana Mexico. I've wanted this for years, but I always had insurance where bariatric procedures were excluded. Finally I am able to afford to pay out of pocket.  I can't wait to get started, and I hope I'm prepared for the initial period of "hell". I know what I have signed up for, but I'm sure the good to come will out way the temporary period of discomfort and feelings of regret. I'd love to find people to talk to who have been through the same procedure or experience before. So I look forward to meeting you all. Hope you have a great week!

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

I hope your surgery on Wednesday goes well. You will be able to do all sorts of new things as you find your new normal after surgery. I don't know this from experience yet, but I am seeing a lot of positive things from people who have had it done. Best of luck!

Life as a big person had limited my life to what I knew I could manage to do each day. That was eat. I hadn't anything else to look forward to. So my eating choices were the best I could dream up. I planned the cooking in managable lots in my head and filled my day with and around it.

Now I have a whole new big, bigger, biggest, best days ever. I am out there with those skinny people doing stuff i could never have dreamt of. Food is now an after thought. It doesn't consume my day. I still enjoy the good home cooked food but I eat smaller portions. I leave food on my plate when I am full. I can no longer hear my mother's voice saying eat it all up, ther are starving children in Africa who would want that!

I still cook for family feasts, I love cooking. I still do holidays but I have changed from the All inclusive drinking and eating everything everyday kind to Self catering accommodation. This gives me the choice of cooking or eating out as I choose. I rarely drink anymore as I usually travel alone now and I feel I need to keep aware of my surroundings.

I don't know at what point my life expanded, was it when I lost 100 pounds? Was it when I left my walking stick at home ? Was it when I said yes to an outing instead of finding an excuse to stay home ? i look back at my last five years and wonder how loosing weight has made such a difference. Be ready to amaze yourself.

BTW, the liquid diet sucks, one more day and you are over the worst. You can do it.
