Small Set back I hope..

Recommended Posts

Hey Guys I just need support  I went to my Drs office on Thursday because for a couple of weeks I had really bad acid reflux all of a sudden.. I had my fill on 04/15 and was fine until just recent.. anyway he said he thought I was ok and he ordered an upper GI for me, and prescribed me Proilosac, and told me he was on vacation all this week so no rush for the upper GI because I was able to eat and drink ok.. well go figure come friday night I was unable to eat or drink, hold any liquid down or food, I went to the ER because I knew I was dehydrated and they treated me for GERD and gave me fluids thru an IV.. I thought I was fine on sunday I felt a little better and then sunday night it started again could not keep any fluids down or food.. went back to the ER on monday where they rehydrated me and took out .75 of the fluid:thumbdown: now I am so worried I am going to gain weight again.. the dr told me to give it about 2 weeks and then I can get a small fill and we will go from there but I am so close to my goal I am at 185 and my goal is 175 has anyone else been in this situation and can offer reassurance I am so sad and worried!

Thanks

This does sound like just a small set back.

Like you, I'm so close to my goal.

I recently gained some weight (long trip away from home..blah blah blah..excuses, excuses) and have been feeling just terrible about it. But the reality of the situation is that this is not a sprint to the finish line. I'm in this for life and if I have one bad month, it's going to be ok.

Unlike me, the set-back you're experiencing is no fault of your own. Try to watch what you're eating during these next couple of weeks - give your stomach a bit of a rest - and then get that fill and be back on track.

I feel so certain that this is a momentary blip for you.

xoox

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
