No Hunger at all! Is that Normal??

Recommended Posts

I have yet to get in all my Protein, but it's only been a little over a week. I got the flintstones chewables too. I am chopping up my pills so I can get them in. I stay up late and have to take a nap in the middle of the day. I can get in up to about 14 ounces over about an hour. I don't really feel full, I just am trying not to overdo it. It is annoying because my Soup gets all cold before I can get it all drunk.

I've gotten use to eating cold...And, you all sound normal to me.

I have been putting double scoops of Protein in mine just to get enuff protein. Be careful what pills u crush/chop.. some are not okay that way. If u call any pharmacy and ask if it can be cut they will tell you. I actually got in all my Water yesterday. And i wanted pickles so bad.. i just chewed them up and spit them out. They tasted so good :rolleyes2:

Yep, all the pills I am taking can be chopped. I had to stop taking one as it couldn't be and it was huge and I had to take four a day.

I had a Mohs procedure today to remove a skin cancer on my cheek. It turned out to be much bigger than thought, so now I have a bunch of stitches and a pressure bandage across my whole face smashing my nose. The problem being that I can't drink out of a glass because my lip is pulled and swollen, or breath out of my nose. I had to resort to using a straw or just not drink. I might try a sippy cup. I am stuck this way until Thursday. I see the bariatric doctor on Wednesday. I am also back on horrible tasting antibiotics. BLECH!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
