Great Job! Keep pushing yourself and before you know it you will be attempting a half marathon like me. Keep up the good work. Runners high it the best drug in the world!

My 10k went really well. I think the half Marathon is next year. Congrats on going from 45-30 bmi in 8 months. That is amazing.

Congrats! That is exciting. I just ran my first 5k a few weeks ago.

I had to have surgery on my foot, but hope to get back at it in a few weeks!

Keep running!

That may be the hardest thing in sports to explain to someone who hasn't experienced it. I do remember it from my high school cross country days. I've come close to the feeling again during this 10k.

Another 5k tomorrow, the last one of my 40s, Maybe I can win something in the over 50 group :) I'm hoping this feels easy after the 10k last weekend.

Congrats on the 5K!!! I remember the feeling that I had when i ran the entire time of mine as well. You will not forget it! My next goal is to run a full half marathon without walking. I did a half marathon in March with a pretty good time of 2 hours and 40 minutes but I did it on a 5/1 schedule. I am signed up for another one in November and hope to run the whole thing!!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
