I had that happen and i did liquid diet for a week and it jump started my weightloss again. Really stick to Portion Control dont be tempted by the fact you know that you can eat more food than you should!! Good luck!!

Don't feel bad, I was banded Jan 28th and I am in the same boat with you. I've lost 27 lbs and have been stuck there for months. I just don't get it !!!! :frown: I go for my 3rd fill wed, hopefully this will help as I can eat just about whatever I want right now. I need restriction !!!!!! When were you banded ? Good luck !

I stalled for nearly 4 months. My doctor told me to increase my Protein, but it didn't help. I started keeping track (calories, fat, Fiber & protein) of everything I ate and was shocked to find out I was only eating 700-800 calories a day. When I increased my calories, I started losing again.

jnic, you probably don't have much (if any) restriction yet and it's hard to keep losing under those circumstances. Your next fill should help but it may not take you to your sweet spot so keep the faith and keep working at this.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.
