I would say it looks like you might me eating too little. My quick count is;

bfast 83 calories and 6 grams of protein

lunch 233 calories and 9 grams of protein

dinner 314 calories ad 17 grams of proton

That is only 630 calories and 32 grams of Protein. I try to get in about 1200 calories and over 60 grams of protein. I would ask your nutritionist to give you a guideline on those. I don’t really like to eyeball my food and say that each meal should be a cup or whatever, I try to break it up by calories and protein – for me that works out to about 400 calories and 20 grams of protein per meal. I find that if I am short on protein I don’t feel as full and the scale doesn’t move the next day.

I am not a doctor, so I certainly don’t know what the right quantities of calories and Protein are (and I’m sure they are different for men and women). I do know that when I go over 1500 I don’t drop weight and when I get less than 60 grams of Protein I feel weak and also don’t drop. At times when I can’t get the time for a meal I mix in one of the EAS Myoplex shakes. I think the dark chocolate tastes pretty good and it has 300 calories and 43g of protein, which is a pretty good chunk of what you need for the day. I haven’t tried the bullets. As for stretching, your portions seem pretty tiny, I don’t see how it could be a problem.

Only 9 pounds in 3 weeks? Give yourself some credit!!! That is 3 pounds a week!!! There are non-banded people out there that would kill for those results.

Dr. V9 uong wrote an interesting article about this recently

Sandi, Kartman is correct about the calories. I stay between 1200-1500 per day. BUT, at the mushy stage I was about where you are now. From my 3rd week when I started regular foods, I steadily increased my food and calorie intake and by week 5 I was at 1200 + per day.

I was banded Jan 20, and my mushy stage I had the Gerber baby food containers (with the tops), about 1/2 cup I think...so I measured the pureed roasted chicken, mashed baked potato, pureed chili, or anything else that I had for a meal and ate it from that container to help me realize the portion size I wanted to shoot for. A plate seemed to be too obscure, even when using the small bread plate (no way to judge for height).

My plan is close to crzytchr. I am my first week of mushies + allowed chicken but only get a total of 1 cup of food a day which increases over the next 2-3 weeks until I need to reach the 50-60g Protein goal. I think right now I'm only taking in 15-20g Protein probably.

I actually break the meals into 4x day instead of 3 which helps with the hunger.

I was told to eat until I wasn't hungry anymore. The first 6 weeks are about your body getting better, not losing weight, so don't stress if you aren't losing stacks. The weight loss slows down a lot once you're a few weeks out from surgery.

Only 1 cup of food? Wow. I would starve! Hopefully it's working for you though!

I'm 10 days post op and am definitely getting some hunger pains. If I don't get 60 grams of Protein in I am HUNGRY in a bad, bad way. I think I average around 800 calories a day right now, and my body is telling me it isn't enough. I'm not too worried about calorie intake at this point, just afraid of pushing the limits on accident.

Tuesday I get to move to a new food step, and I am really excited about eggs and beans!

Actually, the hunger isn't too bad compared to being on liquids where I was hungry a lot. Volume makes a big difference. I eat 2 oz 4x day. 1 egg = 1oz so I eat 2 eggs in the morning and it is very filling. Compared to 2 oz yogurt which can leave you hungry and hour later.

This said, my weight loss has completely stalled at this point.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
