Just got my fill and was pretty tight but now not so much.

Recommended Posts

I just had port revision done a little over a week ago and got a fill that same day. After my fill I noticed that I had decent restriction throughout the day but after 4 days the restriction seemed to lighten up. Was I just swollen or did the band just need time to settle down from surgery or my fill? I still get tight every morning but after lunch my restriction seems to fade. What gives? :(

3ccs in a 4cc band seems like it should be close to your sweet spot but I can see that it might not be quite there yet. You probably have some restriction but had some swelling due to the port revision surgery and that has now abated. And that would make it seem now like you've lost restriction. Try eating really on program and see if you get hungry in less than 4 hours. That's a good indicator.

What did the port revision entail? My port is angled a bit and I have to pay $450 to get my fills done under xray. I'm thinking I might need a port revision. Was it an easy surgery? Or more extensive than I think?

it wasnt as bad as the first surgery to be honest i was just a little sore in my big incision for the first few days but was walking around for hours the day i had completed my surgery. so its not a big deal at all.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
