Things are going so well lately.Financially we are just peeking our heads above the Water that has been drowing us for the past 6 years, my husband and i came very close to separating last year and decided to TRY hard to make it work and we are now more in love than ever.I have taken control of my health and following through with actions ex.started physio for my back so i can learn to exercise without pain.Having a consultation with a cardiovascular clinic doctor about my diet and quit smoking.I am setting goals and reaching for them all.

The problem...?

I am happy but feel this overwhelming sense that all my cards will blow over and the house will fall! Does this make sense? Why can't i just expect good things to happen to me?I don't question it when they go bad. That's normal!!

Any ideas how to overcome this??

Hi C :P

Congratulations on all your committment, I really admire you.

I can understand your sense of failing, I feel the same way. I posted the other day about wanting the band so badly but at the same time I feel like I"m going to fail or I'm going to get rejected w/my insurance. I guess b/c we work so hard at things, more so than others that when failure comes, we kind of expect it. I don't know what to tell you except to try to keep your thoughts positive. We do deserve good things, we really do.

Your stats look GREAT !!! WTG :D

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
