Hi Jolly,

I buy the hard cooking chocalate bars.

This stuff is not low cal cause it has so much fat in it. I only eat them if I am way into low carbing. They are major good and I also do a sugarfree cheesecake with erytiritol. The erythritol is the major key ingreedient in both. Splenda will not do the trick by itself and maltotol has almost as many cals as sugar and also gives you upset stomach. You buy the Erythritol from www.netrition.com

Thank you for your reply. I will make it your way AFTER I order the sugar online. I would love your sugarless cheesecake.

What is the yog butter?

When I bake I replace the fat with yogart aka solid chocolate...that is why I will make it first.

Thanks for quick response

Hey Jolly, I have never tried yogurt butter. I have had yogurt cheese. For hard core low carbing, the more butter/fat you use, the better. You don't want to use transfats such as crisco or margerine, but animal fat and olive oil, even coconut oil are excellent.

Most lap band folk do not adhere to this type of low carb, because it is not really neccesary to be able to loose for most. So if you are eating a normal amount of carbs the high fat will blow your calorie count up. I am a sugar junkie and very carb sensitive. I have been having a hard time getting on board loosing and rather than go get another fill right away, I had just started cutting the carbs yesterday and had not thought a thing about this candy till your post came up. I always try to put off making the treats till I am really on a roll.

Like I was telling someone on chat last night super low carb can make your blood sugar run too low, so if you do this be sure to get some veggies in. I had turnip greens for dinner cooked with olive oil and onion for seasoning along with some talapia, sauteed in butter with lemon sauce and capers. They were both wonderful though I ate them seperately.

I did place the order for the fake sugar and while on the site, I ordered the chocolate chips for my husband. That site also had Stevia hot chocolate which might be a fabulous for my husband who has a very heavy hand. Also, they had a low carb mix, and the powdered Peanut Butter would be great for my yogart and bought some stuff.

For my lapband they told us not to have alot of carbs at the beginiing but I really prefer to eat Proteins and do eat some veggies as needed. I am really careful not to stretch the stomach and then have to have a fill. Also, since I always gained weight after age 20, I do eat carbs but try to limit it because it might be a medical thing that I do not know about yet.

Because my life is nuts I break the meals up and never eat large portions. I find that it works for me. I never ever was able to eat a big meal even before lapband. So this lapband is a blessing for me because I eat and lose and but just follow what the doctor says and will wait and see.

The old ww diet before the points they had a range in which you could eat your breads. I always took the high range number because I do love bread. Now, I just want to get rid of the weight so use the weight watchers diet and get my carbs form some of my veggies aka eggplant.

Jolly Green :blushing:

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
