Recommended Posts

I am feeling fine but have been reading about slippage. I could never eat more than 1/2 cup of anything, I started on solids after four weeks which was ok with my Doctor...I have problem chewing my food well...I use baby spoons...te dentist says the inside of my mouth is very small...I have never slimed or PB'd....sure hope I havent damaged my band....

If you aren't PB'ing or sliming I am sure you haven't damaged your band. I know it is easy to worry about all the what if's because I do it myself. Just take care of yourself, follow the band rules and I am sure you will have great success.

Best wishes.

DeeJay...if you haven't been stuck or PB'd then you are just fine.

Me on the other hand...I had two bad PB's two days in a row and now I'm scared youknowwhatless. I'm SO taking it easy now. All liquids or VERY liquidy mushies. So scared. And a little depressed. I know better but I pushed the bounds, I tried to eat too much and too fast. And my band answered back SWIFTLY. Hard lessons learned.

Just keep doing what you are doing!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
