Start Preop diet today but my pug died yest

Recommended Posts

I am feeling very sad and depressed at this time. I would have pictured starting my preop diet as a time of being elated with happiness. However, my pug puppy for 9 months had to be put down due to congenital heart disease he was born with. That was not found out of until yest as i pleaded to convice the vet there was something wrong with my dog. I went ahead and started my diet but i am feel very depressed upset and sad. I know this was the best for cujo.

Thank you for listening

I am soooo sorry about your pup! I too am a pug owner and Belle is my companion, buddy and constant companion. I can imagine all to easily how hard this is for you. It's really hard now, I know. I can only hope that each day gets a little easier. You will always remember your pup and how much you loved your "baby" and with time, I hope that the memories are no longer tinged with sadness.

Oh gosh, as a pet lover I can sympathize with you there!!!! That would be very depressing. I commend you on going ahead with your pre op diet.....you will be the better for it while starting under such a big issue the end will be very rewarding. I am still waiting on insurance approval but they do not see a problem so I will probably be right behind you soon. Our 16 year old cat died Christmas day last year... Hang in there and do this for you and just a suggestion here but maybe you could start a "memory album" right away and restore some good memories. It may help....

Oh that is awful, I am so sorry. I know they are like children and it is really hard, just allow yourself to go through the grieving process. It will be fine and you can do this! My prayers are with you. If you ever need support, please know we are here to support you.

I am so sorry. I know what it is like to lose my dog also. She was a fawn and black pug named Pugeta. She was my baby. That was 5 years ago and still to this day I have not gotten another pug. It would just be to painfull. I hope all gets better for and that you find this time in your life pleasent, even with the sadness. Jennifer

This is just terrible. Why is it when one thing goes right in life another goes wrong? I have two Boston Terriers. (I love smooshie faced piggy dogs.) Good luck to you with your surgery.

oh my word I am so heartbroken for you! I am so sorry! I am such a crazy animal lover and I would be beside myself if I were you. Hang in there, you are feeling bad now but I think you might end up feeling worse if you don't follow through with the pre op diet! I know it is the hardest thing to hear/do but from my experience I mourn the loss of my animal for far too long if I don't get another right away. Something to think about! You are in my thoughts!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
