Hair Loss

I had my surgery about a year ago and have lost almost 100 lbs., I also have lost about 50% of my hair. Can anyone recommend anything?

I was warned by the nutritionist that Hair loss is a direct result of not eating enough Protein. I would talk to my doctor if I were you. Sounds like you need a protein supplement or a change to your diet plan.

I always heard Biotin is good for Hair growth. I have some, but haven't taken yet.

Nioxin is expensive but some people say it works, but you have to continue using it for more than just one bottle.

Hi,

I had two episodes of hair loss. One at 2-3 months out and the other at 6 months out. I don't think it was a lack of Protein because I was very good about drinking my Protein shakes. However, it has stopped completely since switching to a new type of Protein powder called Dream Protein. I don't think the Biotin helped me at all. I've been told that Hair loss is sometimes due to the stress of the surgery.
