EAS "Soy" protien shake mixed with 1% milk is the only protien shake I can tolerate. I can not stand the taste of any whey protien powder. In a 32 oz shaker I fill it with milk and add 2 scoops of Protein. I get around 64 grams of protein first thing everyday. I love the taste. If you would like to try, I found it at Walmart (in a small container). You can also find a different brand that isn't bad at GNC...more for your money.

One word of caution. If you have thyroid issues and take tyhroid meds OR if you have a problem like Irritable Bowel Syndrome, be aware that soy can have an adverse effect. If you're on thyroid meds, check with your doctor about soy before trying it. My daughter has IBS and was considering NutriSystem to help her with the 15 pounds she needs to lose. She mentioned it to her doctor in passing and he told her not to eat soy Protein (stuff like Morningstar Farms) because it would make her particular symptoms worse.

I think I have IBS or maybe just can't handle milk well. I get bloated with gas and spend the rest of the day looking like the Penser

That sounds like lactose intolerance to me. I have a friend who suffers with that. Try using Lactaid milk or Lactaid tablets with every milk product you consume and see what happens. It won't hurt you and if it solves the problem then you know that it's lactose intolerance.

I agree, try the Lactaid milk. I have issues with milk not agreeing with me. I dont think I am lactose intolerant, but I know that it does bother my stomach. So since I started drinking the shakes I have only used Lactaid milk and I have not had any problems at all. And I can not taste any difference, of course it is being mixed as a shake so It might taste different if you just drink a glass of milk, but who know...LOL Give it a try.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
