Start 158.4lbs

Goal 150lbs

Now 156.4lbs

To go: 6.4lbs.

Since my goal is to lose that by the 1st of April and not easter, and it's only 4 weeks away, I'm not completely sure I'll make goal for this challenge.

Stayed the same this week.

Start: 184.4

Goal: 174.4

Week: 184.6, same as last week.

NOT going to get there at this rate! Being sick and having to have an un-fill, messed me up!

Have a great week!

I look at all of your weight loss and get discouraged but I know that I am learning a new lifestyle and that I won't go back so I am not going to beat myself. That said I need more support so I am going to try to get out here more often. I am late getting into this challenge but I am getting a fill next week so I am going to set my goal at 9 pounds. I want to weight 220 by Easter which is also my 22nd wedding anniversary (get it 220 22nd).

Hang in there! We're here for you! I'm a slow loser too. It can get frustrating. My ticker is from when I started the process a year ago. Since surgery I've lost about 25lbs or so.

Most of that is my fault. I don't exercise like I should. I'm not much of one for that, tho I know better! I am working on that tho. I hope to be able to do some swimming this summer and hopefully that will help.

Best wishes on your goal!

I'll be starting this weekend's challenge thread tonight.

Take care!

Oh and congrats on your 22nd WA! I had my 21st at Thanksgiving!

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.
