This is fill #4. The office was so busy today, I waited 1 1/2 hrs. to see the dr. Gave me a fill, I took 2 sips of Water and he was gone.

On my hour drive home I started to slime, ended up throwing up. (not fun). I can't get hot tea or water down. I am pretty sure I am too tight. Here is the question. Shouldn't I have know right away?

It thurs. night, so I can't really wait it out. It's tomorrow or Mon. Will it relax tomorrow or do I need to go back in the morning?

This is so not fun.

If you can't get liquids down tomorrow morning, you have to call the doctor, and I'm almost sure you're going to have get some saline removed. You can't wait until Monday if things don't improve tonight, because you'll get dehydrated. I hope things settle down for you tonight.

From reading on here, I have started to ALWAYS drink an entire 8-10 oz of Water in my doc's office, then in my car before I leave I drink a 16 ounce bottle I bring from home.

My doc is in the same city but with our traffic and road construction, a round trip to his office takes just under 2 hours. He, too is busy and has no emergency number.

I hope this tip isn't too late to help you!

But I agree...if you can't keep water down, don't wait until monday. We dehydrate VERY quickly. You'll end up in the ER.

I regretfully have just had the same experience. I had 7.4 cc in my band and went in for a fill because I had yet to experience any restriction. The nurse practitioner gave me an additional full cc to bring me up to 8.4. I slowly drank my cup of Water and once again felt the familiar disappointment of no restriction. As I drove home, however, I started to slowly slime. Since this was my first experience with anything like that, I really didn't know what it was. I only knew that I had to empty my mouth quickly or else I felt I was going to drown! I decided to "wait it out" and see if things would loosen up. Unfortunately... it didn't loosen up and I then had the entire weekend to contend with constant sliming and PBing. I couldn't even swallow my own saliva without sliming even more. On Monday I had them remove .4 cc. I once again drank the water and had no problems... until I got home. It all started again! It is horrible not to be able to drink anything, not be able to sleep because you wake up in the night coughing and choking, not to even be able to speak sometimes because so much slime and phlegm is being produced in your mouth! I had another unfill today (-.8 cc) because I didn't want to go through another weekend like before. I ended up losing 11 pounds in less than 7 days. (Mostly water weight, I would imagine.) It was an experience I hope never to repeat.

The band is so fickle. Tightness comes and goes at its own leisure. People can have a fill, drink the Water their doctor gives them with no problem, and then go home or back to work only to discover they are too tight.

I would not allow this to go beyond tomorrow. Call your doctor to get a slight unfill. By the way, how much fill did your doctor give you?

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
