I need some advice... any?

I had my band placed 9-16-08. I've not lost a tremendous amount of weight in that 4 months. Truth be told I lost that much in 8 weeks preop, just eating less, exercising more. Since surgery I have lost... 17 pounds, which is about a pound a week. But I have been stuck at 225 for a month now. I measure everything. I've had another fill, may get yet another on wednesday this week. I'm exercising. I did have one day I emotionally ate abotu 500 calories. But I worked out HUGE afterwards. (buyer's remorse type thing) But generally speaking I stick around 900 to 1100 calories a day. I drink 75 ounces of Water a day, or more. I work out minimum of 30 minutes a day. Plus I'm an active mom of twin 3 yr old twins (well almost 3 yr old), and a 12 yr old. I just don't understand what I'm doing wrong.

Yesterday I had for Breakfast, 2 shredded wheat biscuits (170 calories), and 1/2 cup fat free milk. Oh and my Multivitamin.

lunch I had tuna, half a can, packed in water and drained. I had two tbsp of fat free mayo. I also had half a pear.

For dinner, I had made chicken and dumplings. I measured out 3 ounces of chicken, and another 3 ounces of veggies. I did eat about 1 ounce (like 2 small bites) of biscuit.

I had during the day 2- 10 calorie sugar free Jello cups. (I'm still getting hungry often).

I did wii fit for 35 minutes step aerobics, making over 2500 steps in that time. I also did leslie sansome walk slim the 4th mile with the band, and the stretching at the end. So I got a fair amount of work out too.

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

It sounds like you are doing everything right. Although I haven't done this myself yet as I'm only three months out, a lot of people have suggested actually upping your calories to break plateaus. If you are working out a lot and very active, your body might need more calories to not go into starvation mode. The only other thing I can see is to try eating more Protein and veggies and less of the carbs. Good luck!

I agree completely. She has just given you the best advice that I could think of. Good luck!

Sounds like you're doing everything right. Keep doing it and eventually the weight will move. plateaus are a part of it, they are going to happen and a pound a week is a good healthy rate. This thing just takes a lot of patience.

Interval training really gets weight moving for me, but its awful. Bursts of really hard activity with recovery periods, but I feel exhausted and to the point of puking afterwards. But doing that 2 or 3 of my 5 workouts really works for me.

Teri, I know how yhou feel. I average 1 pound a week too and will go for weeks without weight loss. And the first weight came off fast too. I has a horrible weekend after my fill, felt so tight at first and now,,,,,, I wonder if I have a leak. Anyway, talk to your surgeon. He is your best resource. But remember, slow and steady. Also, you have lost inches. Hang in there. I hate this part too, but hang in there. Even if this is all you ever loose, you are still better off than you were before. And, I know how pissed I would be to hear that. Talk to your Dr. Hang in there. Debbie

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
