Painful and numb toes during cardio

Recommended Posts

I know what you mean. My gym has several styles of elliptical and most dont fit me. They have one particular one that ismore comfy than the rest and now that I am exclusivly using it, my toe pain is a little less. The last 15 minutes of my hour I can feel it coming on rather than 15 mintues into it.

And How! I can only use Life Fitness Ellipticals. I haven't found another one with a long enough stride. It can handle my most zealous workouts.

I always walk on the front of treadmills. You know, the part where the conveyor belt starts. If I stand far enough that I don't stomp all over the machine, I cant comfortably hold the bars or whats worse I am at the end of the conveyor belt. I still give'em a go round if there are no free ellipticals or if Im doing Couch-to-5k workout.

The using your whole foot thing is a good trick too.

Concur that this is likely a neuroma. I had no choice but to stop doing elliptical as mine progressed from only being symptomatic after 20 minutes to bugging me all the time, even when I wasn't on the machine. Changing your weight distribution or seeing a podiatrist to construct an insert that splays the toes, and wearing a shoe with a wider toe box, can sometimes help.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
