I work with people in Minnesota who would say, "So what!" But it is minus 11 degrees here today! I've found after losing almost 40 that I get cold easier. I'm 10 pounds away from calling the sleep doctor and see if I've improved.

Yikes! No more complaining about cold weather here in Nor Cal. -11 is just wrong in so many ways.

I hope everything goes well with the sleep doc.

Okay, you're right. :yikes: I'm in Minny-SOH-ta.

"so what".

Seriously though... it's about -20 here, and it's just rediculous. I am not from here originally, and I don't get how people can still function in this weather.

Wow, you have had 3 fills? I get my first fill in 4 more weeks. I can definitely feel the restriction of just the band even after all the swelling has gone down.

My wife says my snoring has stopped, I'm hopeful I don't need the CPAP, which I haven't been using, anymore.

All our schools were closed today due to -25 windchill. I get cold easy, but that is due to hypothyroidism. I stinks because when the cold creeps in, I have to sit in the shower for 1/2 hr to feel right again...

I get 1st fill in a couple weeks. I have some restriction, but fullness only lasts an hour or so, depending on how long I can stand to not drink afterwards...

so much for global warming...hahahaha

Hmm, I do believe the high was right around 72 on Jan 16th. I was a bit chilly going out in the morning, had to run back for a sweater!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
