Goose Egg this time. "0"

I had the stomach bug last week and lost, then when I was finally able to eat, I ate and ate. A few valentine chocolates too. Back to the previous weeks weight.

Congrats to all on their weight losses. Still struggling here..

Lynn, this post made me sad:( I am so sorry that you are struggling.. What an icky feeling. I am and have been struggling as well. In 3 months I have put on 18lbs.. I had a fill about 2 weeks ago and have lost about 9lbs of the 18, but still feel horrible about myself for getting so out of sorts. It is so hard to see the wonderful success of others and know I could be there...

I'm not sure what I can say to help you feel better about your situation, but know that you are not alone! You have done a wonderful job, keep up the good work! This journey is definately full of bumps, and you WILL get over yours, just give yourself time:)

I think most of us have struggled, gone up and down - I went up about 12, maybe more pounds - I can't remember, it seems so long ago.

You can't let yourself succumb to self pity (not that you are!). Starting to tell yourself that it's SO hard for you to lose weight is the best way to hack apart your chances for success.

If you're struggling, ask yourself why. There are two components to weight loss, diet and exercise. If your weight isn't going down, or is going up, either you're eating too much, or you're exercising too little.

If you're eating too much, address that. Do you need a fill? Do you think you should be logging your food? Do you have some kind of temptation in the house which you can't withstand? (Get rid of it!) Are you eating emotionally, and if so is there anything you can do about THAT?

If you're not exercising, or not exercising enough, START! Get a pedometer and start walking. Get a yoga DVD. Find a friend to exercise with.

Weight loss is simple. All you have to do is burn up more energy than you eat.

So do that. Remember that many people here started at far higher weights than you, and so it's easier for them to lose (at first!). We're all in the same boat, and we're all struggling from time to time.

Except Scrappy.

Hang in there! And do it!

Despite having an unfill I went down 1. :tongue2: I went in for a fill of 1cc yesterday and they had to pull it out. I could not hold down the 6oz of Water. So she pulled the whole 1cc out. I now have to wait another 2 weeks and then we will try for a 1/2cc. So the test begins to see if I can maintain and lose. I am looking at this as my test for when I get to maintance weight. This is to see if I have learned the new habits. I am ready for the challenage. :tt2:

Hey fenton I struggle too. I deal with this stupid head hunger all day long! I even gain weight sometimes but then I fight to lose it again. I sure don't think any of this has been easy. Today I really ate all the wrong things hershey kisses and brownies and went out for both lunch and dinner, but I am not quitting I will just work harder tomorrow. We can do this! We all have come too far to not make it work.

Oh, Scrappy, I know you struggle - I was joking.

Despite what seems to be an assumption that getting banded = automatic weight loss, we all know that it takes blood, sweat, tears and constant vigilance.

And good on you, Potatie! That's the attitude that gets you past the Finish Line.

Thank you Fenton, I am having a hard time walking away from the sweets, but I have been. I keep reminding myself that I CAN do this. That is a new saying for me. I used to say I can't and then I would give up. This new positive thinking is kind of weird. I am very glad to be in this new space. :mad2: Now only if spring would come early I would really be happy.

Lynn, ditto to the sweets!!! I've been struggling with that also. I just get up the next day and make myself stay away from them. I really need to get rid of the excess stuff we have at home, I just can't bring myself to throw them away!! What's wrong with this picture??

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
