Shamrocks Friday Weight In.

SpecialK I think part of my success is because I never yo-yo dieted. This was my first real diet that lasted more than 24 hours. I am probably eating about the same as the rest of you. It seems if I eat less than 1000 calories in a day and exersize that day I will be down a pound in the morning. I would say my average calorie intake is 1200 a day, and sometime I go as high as 1500 calories. I try to eat at home most meals and that seems to help a lot. Once I go out to eat at a resturant I blow it almost everytime. I joined curves and do that 3 times a week and I've just started going to the mall and walking for about 45 mins at a time about 2 days a week.

Remember 55 of the pounds I lost was before surgery, so I sort of had a jump start.

I'm going to my granddaughters 1st birthday party tonight and I plan on eating cake and ice cream! Normally I do not eat any junk food if I stay home.

Okay I did the Fenton-thing last night -- super buffet dinner with tons of delicious food but I tried to eat as small amounts of things as I could including only 1/3 of the slice of cheesecake that came for dessert after a dinner that started with a glass of white wine, prime rib, etc. etc. I did skip the rolls -- not worth it. So, the total for that one meal was 1200 calories. Beware, it adds up fast at a fancy dinner. Fortunately I had done over 3500 calorie burn yesterday with two big snow shoveling hours burning up alot but I still should have gone for less.

My NSV this morning is that I'm wearing a pair of jeans for the first time in years and years. Yes, they buttoned up without having to lay on the bed to zip them. Woo hoo!

Okay, gentle reminder for myself and others -- no big eating today for SuperBowl parties tonight. I looked at the small bag of Doritos I bought and it said 170 calories for a serving and I thought okay, for a special treat, then I read the bag has 3.5 servings in it and it isn't a very big bag! OMG! I am going to have to count out or weigh a serving to not eat the whole bag.

Go Steelers!

Ha!

I had some Trader Joe's chili for lunch (310 cals, 27 g protein), and may have a TJ's chicken enchilada for dinner, but I'm not going to be really doing the snack thing.

Oh, weight, wrong item for this - this belongs in the main thread!

Hi guys,

I haven't posted in forever, but I read the master thread every day. I think I'll join the Friday weigh-in! I had a good week this week and my next goal is to hit onederland by my birthday (3/18). That's 17 lbs in 5.5 weeks; I think I can do it.

I'm down 2 this week, I'll take it. I'm less than 2 pounds away from hitting the CENTURY mark, I hoping that I'll be adding my name to the list of CENTURIES next weigh-in!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
