On M/W/F I'm following couch to 5k, currently in week two. Plus lifting Arms, that’s all I'm cleared for until week 6. I can't wait until I can start lifting again, getting tired of the why are you playing with that 10 lb dumbbell looks at the gym.

On off days I do 1 hour cardio split between treadmill, Precor cross trainer and the elliptical. My trainer told me "not sure what calcs he used" that to lose 1 lb a week I would have to eat 3500 calories a day. I'm currently running 2000 - 2500 a day calorie deficit "again according to voodoo calculations I have not seen" I'll keep it up until the weight stops dropping off or recovery times get longer.

I dug out all my various exercise dvd's and I popped in Leslie Sansone's Miracle Mile. I was a little disappointed that I could only complete 3/4 of a mile but hey ~ it's a start and I'll be doing much more than that soon enough.

I walked on the treadmill for 30 minutes. My 7 year old son and I went for a 30 minute bike ride again. We did some hills today. Son came home and took a 3 hour nap. When my husband asked our son, "Did Mommy kick your butt on the bike?,", he replied "No I kicked Mommy's"

I called and set up my first appointment to visit Curves tomorrow. There is one very close to my house and if I like it, I'll start taking my workout clothes with me and swinging by for a workout on my way home from work.

I went to Curves, I did one round learning all the machines and then did one round on my own.

I'll go back a couple more times next week and see how I like it.

I decided to go check out the YMCA, they have much more to offer than curves and when my hubby gets back he'll get a free membership and I'll get a discount off my monthly fee everytime he goes so I went ahead and joined.

I walked/jogged 20 min yesterday. Today I just did a fitness assessment with a trainer. There is a program called "Commit to be fit" and you get 5 free training sessions with a fitness assessment. I had to go and get a release from my Dr to participate because of high blood pressure.

I am pretty out of shape but not quite as bad as I expected. I did 18 situps in 1 minute, 9 bench presses with a 35lb bar and my flexibility reach was better than the skinny little thing helping me. I could reach 11.5" on their measuring box and she could only go 7". I didn't do the step test since my pulse was already a little high from rushing to get there after work. She took my blood pressure and it was extremely low for me, after I got a lecture on Tues from my Dr for not taking my second HBP med cuz it was a bit high on Tues. I don't know if I trust her monitor. I'll have to dig mine out and if it's low still, maybe I only need 1/2 a pill. I plan on checking out the Pilates class next week, I've never done it.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
