Did you exercise today?

Recommended Posts

At the Y and did my usual upper body workout and then 35 min cycling.

As the sun is shining, and the temp is supposed to be above freezing (be still my heart!!), I may see if I can get in a walk today at lunch or after work...

At the Y, did my upper body workout then 35 min on the treadmill. And for some reason, my hip is killing me...I can't even sit comfortably at my desk...argghhh! Maybe I just pulled a muscle and if I rest it today, it will be ok.

Hope everyone else is doing some exercise....

Uh, oh. Not hip problems! So sorry, Tap.

I didn't exercise for the whole end of last week. Just didn't make it a priority. I was busy, but that's no excuse, really. I'll check in with what I'm doing this week. I think I will run today.

Yes, I went for a walk, and I was walking my 85 lb lab who was in very excited so I not only walked at a faster pace than I am comfortable with, but I got an arm work out too.

I love her, but she is so strong.

I finally got my wii fit back yesterday, I loaned it out "for a few days" to a girl at work who ended up keeping it for a few weeks instead. I missed it too.

The wii has a new fitness game I'm going to buy for the wii balance board. I thought I would give it a try to change things up.

Shiny, you must be so proud of yourself for all that running. You go girl.

Good job Tap, I am very impressed with both of you.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
