easier to eat at night

Recommended Posts

I just recently had a fill of 2cc's and had no restriction. My doctor said to come back in if I was hungry and he then added another 1cc, two days later. I feel the restriction finally, but am uncomfortable eating especially in the morning. As the day wears on, I am able to eat a little better. I feel discomfort in my chest (although I am eating small amounts extremely slow) like it is stuck, although it is not stuck. Anyone else feel like this? I am also just starting to realize the foods that I can't eat even though I have chewed and chewed....

Oh, yes, I was the same way as you. There is a big difference between 2cc's and 3cc's. The fill to 3 cc's really kicked my butt. I had the fill to 3 cc's about 2 weeks ago and realized that a lap band 'tiny, tiny bite' means a bite the size of my pinky nail. At 2 cc's I was able to eat any type of Protein that could be cut with a knife. Now at 3cc's I can't eat pork or roast beef. Sounds like you are doing just fine. I read on another post on this forum that everytime we get a fill we have to experiment and relearn what we can eat. Good luck.

That's normal.

First thing in the a.m. when I get up (6:00 am) I drink 20 oz of Water (or crystal light) and then around 9:30 I have a small snack, but often it still makes me choke- it has to be VERY soft.

I eat a real lunch at noon, but it's small.

I consume probably 80% of my calories in the evening!! I feel like I'm pigging out, but I realize that every day I am still getting in around 1100 calories, so it's not bad.

I cannot eat first thing in the morning either. I have tea or coffee and then I am out the door for my long commute to work. I usually eat around 8:30 or 9:00 am.

I'm the same way, tighter in the mornings. I drink a Protein Shake in the mornings usually because I'm in a hurry and it just takes too long to eat.

It's funny how each fill changes the things you are able to eat....it's like you never know until you try them.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
