Ok so i had my 2nd fill on 12/5 i have a total of 3.5cc in my 10cc band....Lately ive been noticing that food gets stuck alot more now than my 1st fill (probably have more restriction) I throw up almost every other day or so i try not to (i need to slow down with eating)...well last night stupid me decided to try some of my sons soft pretzel and it got stuck...i threw up 3 times (of course not real throw up because it didnt make it below the band) well i started noticing later on that night that my throat was killing me (like a sore throat when ur gettin sick)...today it feels a little better (probably because i took tylenol) but im a little worried did i do something bad to my throat? and also i was sitting on the couch and bent over to pick my son up and i kinda felt somethin move in my belly?? im sure it was just a muscle but it was really weird..do u think im 2 tight? Water and liquids go down fine and so do certain foods i think i need to avoid breads..i guess this fill is working than? what do u think?

Sounds like your throat may just be hurting from the throwing up. I just got my 3rd fill yesterday, so still on liquids. I would definitely avoid the bread if it's giving you trouble. If you can eat some foods like tuna, chicken, etc then you probably aren't to tight. Remember to take at least 30 minutes to eat. If you can eat high Protein foods when you eat slowly, you are probably ok. If you can't keep down any food even when eating slow, I'd go back and get some taken out. And, it may be your port you feel when you bend over. I have a lot of movement in mine - it even sticks out some times! My doc says some of the stitches on my port probably came loose but they won't worry unless they can't access it at all. I think I started running too soon after. Either that - or all the crazy "adult activity" I started when I lost my first 20-30 pounds!

I also think it could just be sore from throwing up. I would just give it a little time.

You seem to be throwing up more than is normal if it is happening every couple of days. Try eating a little slower and chewing more to avoid it. Another thing I did is I would have something like plain yogurt, or a lowfat sauce or something along that line with some Proteins that I knew were harder to get down.

If you continue to throw up regularly, you should get a very slight unfill. It is harmful to your band to continue this way.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
