If I had sharp chest pain I would be in the Emergency Room. Do you think you should go and not put it off any longer. I had sharp chest pain a few years ago and it ended up being my gall bladder. Just go have it checked out.

When my mom had gall bladder problems she was sick...throwing up and what not...nothing else is bothering me...just this? I'm 22. The only reason that I haven't gone in yet is because I can't take my son to the ER so I have to wait for my hubby to get home! :rolleyes2:

Hi. I had the same pain right in the left side of my chest. I did end up having something stuck. I called my doctors office & spoke with the nurse. She said that I should stick to Soup for a couple of days until the pain goes away. I did that and it went away by the next day. I had the pain for a week before that. You should call your lapband doctors office. I was banded in July of this year.

I'm not stuck...I've had this pain on and off for about 3-4 days now. It's not to the left or to the right. It's in the center of my chest where the top of my breasts are. It's not a heart attack. I'm not having shortness of breath or anything...I was just hoping that maybe someone had had the same thing at one point...thank you for all of your input so far :)

Hi. Yea, I guess you should have a doctor check. I've had things "stuck" a couple of times and it actually felt like pain in my breast and shoulder. I hope you get better.

Best of Luck.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.
