Phlem continues to be a problem HELP!

Recommended Posts

I'm over a year post op lap band and I continue to have phlem and end up vomiting it up. Why? Are certain foods more likely to produce phlem? Is there anything I can do to reduce this?

well, I am not a doctor, but I will tell you this- my mom and my sister are lactose sensitive and it causes them to stay congested and have ALOT of drainage at night, which in turn causes them to throw up alot- especially in the morning. If you are eating dairy, you might want to see if lactose sensitivity could be the case. Usually in cases of lactose allergy- it is way more severe. Again, not a doctor- just life experience. It may be something to pay attention to. good luck...

Sinus drainage and dairy could possibly be responsible.

Just a suggestion but you may trying making your first beverage each morning just plain hot Water (with a little lemon will help you with elimination.)

The hot Water will loosen any drainage that you had during the night and pass it through your throat and digestive system. That way your regular food and liquids don't have to compete.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
