  1. I know how you feel. I was banded 10/08 (15mths) ago and have only lost 25pds. I've been tight loose, tight, etc. Now I vomit quiet often and am having horrible smelly belching. I haven't been back to the MD since June. My insurance doesn't cover anything, and I had to take out a loan for my first surgery. Have no idea what to do. I feel like I've wasted 17,000!
  2. Please help! What is a Sulfur burp? I've been having these horrible smelly burps lately.
  3. So I didn't read all 12 pages. I've been banded since last year and have had alot of problems. I vomit alot and now I burp alot and they stink! Anyone else have this problem?
  4. i beleive so. if you start eating more than normal, let your dr. know at the next appointment and they will check
  5. did they charge you all over again for another surgery?
  6. there are a couple of different ways. You band is sutured to one side, but it can slip down if a couple of things happen. Also some of you stomach will move up, making your pouch bigger. I've had 2 slips so far and they're not fun. I go back today to see if my pouch is back to regular size and if my band has slipped back up.
  7. I too love this practice! i feel very comfortable with them and Phil and kelli are awesome! i had a problem about amonth ago and had to meet with Phil after hours. i felt horrible, but he said "that's what they're here for" I'm still trying to get into the swing of things. I've only lost 25pds but am trying real hard. Just met with kelli last Friday and she added some fluid, i fill so full now thank goodness!
  8. So I've read about taking papaya enzymes if your food gets stuck, does anyone know how many take take?:bananalama:
  9. thanks Woody, Im trying to get Dr.Pinnar's board talking again!
  10. I went back for my 2nd check up. I should have sad something on my first check up. I had been PB'inf all the time, but didn't think anything of it. Yesterday when I told the PA Kelli (she's wonderful!), she xrayed me and told me I was way too tight. She took out 2cc, so no have 1.8cc. My band had moved too! She told me whenevr you PB, you puoch swells, and you should do liquids for 2 days to heal it. I go back next Friday to see if it's moved back up.
  11. just remember to go on liquids for a few days, since you're puoch is swollen now.
  12. Eat2live, I agree. I can't stand the pre made drinks. I like to make them with either chocolate Hood milk or just Fat Free milk.
  13. Donna , you're right. I just went for a follow up yesterday and found out i was swollen and my band a slipped a little!!! My PA told me once you PB, your pouch swells and you should do liquids for 2 days then soft for 2 days. My PA said I was way too full and took out 2cc since I was at 3.8. I go back next Friday to see if the band has gone back to the correct position. Oh what is the 5 day pouch test?
  14. Does anyone ever get tired of drinking Protein Shakes?
  15. I know how you feel! I've lost almost 20pds since my surgery 10/24/08. My first fill was around Dec.5th. It got3.8. I didn't know at the time, but that was too full. I PB' quite often and yesterday at my 2nd visit I told my PA what was happening. She gave me a Barium Swallow and it was barely gong through my band, plus she could tell I was swollen and some of my stomach had come up!!! I freaked out. She took all the 3.8 out and then added just 1.8 so I can readjust since my band had moved. I think this is everyone's fear! I go back next Friday to see if my band has gone back in place. Wish me luck! I'm suppose to be on liquids for the next week, ugh!!!
