Happy birthday Suzanne!!

Happy V-D eh? I would think that's UNhappy!!

We are going to our favorite restaurant tomorrow night (we go for Valentines every year).. that's it. I got him 2 new baseball hats and some sugar free chocolates--did ya'll know Hershey now has a line? I never saw them till yesterday, caramel filled chocolates.. mmm....

Thanks Laura!!

I hope your husband doesn't eat too many of those chocolates -- or are they the non-malitol type?

Hey...

good day so far w/ ZR...kids are awesome! Cross your fingers for me!

ZR? No comprende.
I think they are splenda, not malitol.. but DH is not a sweet eater, so one bag of like 8 candies lasts him a month.

He is a freak of nature!!!

Wow..sure quiet in here today.

I just finished giving Ethan a bath and got him all spiffed up to go to Aunt Kris and Uncle Nathan's for supper.

I'll check in when we get back home. Everyone have a good evening.

Came home early from work again today!! I sure hope my money tree blooms this year!!!

I made my customers bread last night, they were so thrilled today!! I have three loaves left to give my weekly Saturday people!

Oh well off to sit on my couch and do nothing!!

Jane

Thanks for the FB adds and for making me feel welcome...I have been a slug today...drove hubby to train very early this am so HE could go workout downtown, and since it was too early for me to go to my class, i fell back to sleep...I have to keep moving...can't get it in gear!!! Hope all the "patients" and families are doing better today...

Talk to you later....have a good night...

Just a quick check in from the hospital---using Manda's laptop, so excuse my typos.

She had surgery this morning. They removed a lymph node under the ear, and snipped pieces of glands and tissues. They are not sure, but are discussing, amputation of the outer ear. They are also discussing transfer to UNM Hosp. in ABQ---it is a teaching hosp. He said there was no puss or anything, but that cutting into the tissue was like cutting in to wood it was so hard. It will be 2-3 days for the pathology and the cultures. They cut from behind the ear down about 2 inches with a forward curve.....pretty ugly. We took a picture with her cell phone, so that she could see it, I will find out if there is a way to get it to here....

The good news, if you will, is that her ear lobe is now affected. It is swelling and huge. So.....while that indicates a spreading infection, and furthers the chances of her losing her ear, it is NOT indicative of the RP. We would give up that ear in a heartbeat to have her with us for many, many years to come.

Not sure when to expect to see the Dr. again. The ENT's associate actually did the surgery, and we really liked him a lot. He come by to tell us that the original grouchy ENT was in ICU and would be by to see us, we kinda groaned, and as we expected the grouch never showed. Not sure how to go about it, but we want to change to the one who did the surgery.

Kinsey had fever through the night, but it was mild. I left her with my Mom for the day, now I called to check on her, and my Mom has it. So I am going to sit with Manda for a while to make sure she is ok, then go on home, and let her rest for the night.

Somewhere---sometime-----I need to get some shopping done. As has been pointed out tomorrow is Valentines, and I have nothing for my grandkids with all this. Connor was here with Ali when they brought Manda up, and he refused to kiss her bye bye, he kept saying Auntie Broken. LOL

Manda wants me to buy something for her to have to give to Kinsey tomorrow too.

Oh yeah, her former MIL was her OR nurse!!!

Well I am going to go find some ice chips.

Will check in tonight.

XOXOX

Good evening Violets..

We're back from Kris's. She had a pork roast, potatoes mashed with rutabaga and parsnips and candied carrots. I had some of the roast, about 1/4 cup of the potatoes and 4 baby carrots. Everything went down slowly. She had a cake from a baby shower today, but didn't serve that. She had made an eclair cake.. one of my favorites and I have to admit I had three spoonfuls. But then I stopped as I knew that was the first extra sugar I have had since Jan. 2. It tasted good and I don't regret having it. I did 20 minutes on the glider and bike today so hopefully that got rid of the three bites of no-nos.

Ethan had a ball with Uncle Nathan. They have a huge ball that looks like a bean bag, but has memory foam inside it and Nathan would pick Ethan up and toss him into the bag. Ethan just loved it.

The little guy is asleep on the couch and should sleep through the night. He had a longgggggg day and evening.

I have lapband support group in the morning and a dinner in the evening.

I'm going to watch Monk, then Psych and then heading to bed. Everyone have a good evening.. sleep well.
