Does being stuck feel the same as being full?

Recommended Posts

What I mean is does the tight feeling you get in your chest that signifies you are full feel like it does when you first know that you are stuck? I've only been banded for 2 months and I'm still struggling with the signals although I'm just beginning to listen to my body a tiny bit...just not there 100% yet. Thank you!

I finally started feeling full this week and it does not feel the same as feeling stuck. The sensation of feeling full to me is the same as before my surgery when I ate a full meel and I was pleasantly satiated. Feeling stuck to me is that uncomfortable feeling that you hope will go away soon or you may have to throw up.

You should not feel uncomfortable when you are full. But being too full does feel like being stuck.

If you overeat, feeling full can feel like the early stages of being stuck and isn't comfortable . . . but you really don't want to be so full you are uncomfortable.

However, if you are really stuck . . . you will absolutely know it as you start sliming and it is much too uncomfortable to be anywhere but in the bathroom.

Had my first sliming experience today. I was eating chili and all of a sudden i felt like something was stuck so I stopped eating and I got the hiccup thing, then felt myself start to slime, I ran to the bathroom and up came the chili. Not a good thing, I wasn't prepared when it came up and got it all over my white shirt, had to run up to KMart and buy something to wear to finish the day in. Note to self: slow down and pay attention to what I am eating and how fast!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
