Food overheats me

Not seen this one before, so not sure if anybody else has experienced this.

I'm just over 1 week out from surgery. If I stick to the Optifast and custards I'm OK, but as soon as I make a liquid meal, like a thin Soup, my body heats up and goes into overdrive. I get really hot and clammy.

Has anybody else had this? If so, does it settle down? Is this what it feels like to have a metabolism working properly??

Are you sure it is the food and not lack of water in your body. I kept getting hot flashes and sweats and evben palpations (irregular heart beats) when someone told me to up the water intake. Maybe that would help you. Take care, Andrea
