Well I missed Zumba tonight. Not to complain but my butt and hips are really bothering me. I'm going tomorrow night to 20/20/20 class though. I did workout this morning though - so at least I'm moving :-)

Dog walk: 20 mins.

Weights/abs: 30 mins. (which is why the dog got shortchanged )

lunch walk: 45 mins.

Still to come: p.m. dog walk (55 mins.)

Still trying to figure out where the showers/locker rooms are in my new office building so I can start bike commuting again. The car commute is really easy, but I'd much rather do the 10-mile round trip via bike.

Zumba is a latin dance/aerobics class. It's tons of fun. Lots of hip/booty shaking - lol. Lot's of core and leg work.

Today - 20/20/20 class

Well, after working until midnight Sunday and up again at 0530 on Monday, I was too tired last night to work out. Made it in this morning, but workout was SH#T!

I've been feeling "weak" the past 3 or 4 wks. I think it is because I stopped drinking my Protein shakes for Snacks btwn meals. Don't think I am getting enough Protein for me to recover properly. I'll start it up again starting today. We'll see how it works out.

You don't like oatmeal? I don't think I've ever met a non-oatmeal person.

Zumba sounds like fun - I have asked my Y if it is possible for perhaps next semester.

i have tried EVERY brand, different ways of making it, add this - that to it, hot and cold and it's the same...yucky.

it does stick to your ribs however - and before a session w/my trainer i have been eating it. still don't like it:frown:

Eh....I was trying to cut out the cost from the budget. Now, my body is paying the price. I'll have to work something out.

I can't really say that I love or hate oatmeal. I'll eat it, but don't have to have it.

As for eating before working out, that I just can't do. I feel sick and usually throw up if I eat right before I work out.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
