How much so far - total?

Recommended Posts

I was banded Aug 5th 2008 and before the band I was 224 lbs when I went into have it I was 216 lbs and now I am 192 lbs. which is god 32 lbs. But I feel like it should be more, but slow is better then fast. I really count from the time I had the band so for me it's only 24 lbs. So I feel like I am not getting anywhere at times. I am happy and everyone notices, but it's in my head. My pants are too big and I have jeans that haven't fit me in so long.

But congrat's too everyone on there weight loss.

I figure when Aug 5th 2009 comes around that will be my weight loss. 1 year!

I've had an awesome month. I was practically stalled out and then joined a gym during the second week of November.

I got my 4th fill on November 18th and since then have lost 17 pounds. I'm going to gym 5 - 7 days a week, sometimes twice a day depending on the classes they're having. It's been the difference for me. The weight loss is going to slow back down soon but even so the exercise is giving me so much motivation and energy. My fitness level has already improved so much!

5th fill today!

Pre Band High: 266

Surgery: 254

Current: 209

I lost another 2 pounds this week, after being at 177.2 for two weeks. I hate when I hit a plateau. I had a fill also on Thursday so that did help jump start me again.

Hope to make my 170 goal by New Years. I have two Christmas parties so I will make sure I am very careful what I eat.

That will leave only 40 lbs to lose next year...by August.

I am taking it one day at a time.

I'm with you Lisa! I just got my FOURTH fill yesterday and the record shows that I've lost just under 20#. I'm not whining though. That's 20# less than I've weighed in years. Clothes that I used to "make" fit are now fitting the way they should.

I need to get my butt moving MORE and, hopefully, I'll get some restriction this time to help me along the journey. We'll hang tough and keep trying. It took a long time to get this way, and I need to keep reminding myself that this is the "right" way to lose.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
