Sneezing, itchy eyes, sounds more like allergies or a cold than the flu. If it IS the flu they can give you a drug to shorten it but it really sounds like a cold; your doc (PCP) can run a test to diagnose for sure though.

When I'm that sick I only want Soups anyway; can't you have clear broth etc? Strain chicken noodle or vegetable Soup and drink the broth, and get sugar free cough drops. Mucinex will help, too. (one kind has a decongestant, one has a cough suppressant, get what you need)

Of course liquid tylenol if you have a fever and/or pain.

I got a cold 9/16 after being banded 8/29 and honestly the cold was worse than the surgery!

Hope you feel better soon!

No its the flu. I got the big D also. yes diarrhea. How does one get Diarrhea when one is not eating? I'll be alright, I got some liquid Imodium. I just sorta was feeling sorry for myself. I'm sick, sore and by myself lol My mom got sick and had to go home early. I'm really doing better now. Just feel really weak and tired and its been officially 1 week since I chewed food. Well I knew what I was getting into. No big surprise just the stupid flu also. Thanks so much for responding.

Look for the silver lining, I didnt get the shoulder pain so that is a blessing.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
