I just had my third fill. My surgeon is an "aggressive" filler and I am at 3ccs in my 4cc band now. I was on liquids yesterday and my first meal was a bowl of Cereal, no problems. Just curious where others are at as I am hoping this will be a good spot for me.

TxChelsey:

I have the small 4 cc band too. I'm at 2.5 and have been there since May (except one week unfilled - problem). This level of 2.5 works for me. I think there are alot of variables for the fill level that will work for each person. I hope you find your sweet spot soon.

Best wishes to you.

Sue

I am at 2.5 cc in a 4 cc band and have had 2 fills. I am scheduled for my 3rd fill next week. I know my doc is pretty aggressive with fills and did 1.5 cc the first time but only 1 cc the 2nd fill because she said I did so well with the 1.5 cc and thought if she did another 1.5 cc it would be too much for me.

I really hope this 3rd fill goes well and that I don't end up on the fill/unfill rollercoaster ride!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
