Now that I am feeling more energetic I want to start exercising. I was hoping someone could suggest a relatively easy work out video. I have tai-bo but I really don't like it (too hard!). There are so many out there I would rather pick one that someone has used and likes.

I like the one that came with my Danskin weights that I bought at Walmart. It's a cute barbell that only comes with around 17 pounds worth of weights, but it's coated in colored rubber to protect our nails (how cute is that?) It comes with a work out video. Very easy, plus you tone up at the same time, and the weights aren't too heavy. I bought a couple extra 2 lbs weights to kick it up a notch.

Add my vote to Leslie Sansone's Walk Away the Pounds videos. I LOVE them! There's a wide variety, so you can start easy and work your way up to more advanced routines. I also liked the Susan Powter workout videos--I dunno if you can still find them, though! A good place to shop around for workout tapes is collagevideo.com--they have workout music cds and accessories too.

Good luck finding something that works for you!

I found Walk Away the Pounds at Goodwill. $1.50 each? Bargain! I don't have those cute little ball weights they have, but I do have a small set of hand weights, 3,5, and 8 pounders that work just great.

Okay, maybe I'll walk away some pounds tomorrow. Thanks alot for reminding me! (groan!)

Tae Bo is hard, but I made it a bit easier by NOT kicking anywhere close to as high as those crazy CA girls do on the video. I kept it very low and did what I could. I didn't hate it as much that way, and it IS a good sweaty workout!

Fine, I'll get my tapes out. Thanks alot. (groan!)

After doing them forever (years) I gave away the tapes and do the exercises with music that I select. I also gave away the belt and other stuff included but kept the little weighted balls. I love keeping them in my office and playing with them when I'm on the phone, stressed, etc. They are also good for building hand muscles since they are soft.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
