Anyone have regret within the 1st 2 weeks?

Recommended Posts

The gas pain was so awful for me that, yes, I did regret it. However, once 2 1/2 to 3 weeks was over, I was quite fine and today have no regrets at all. This lap band has given me the incentive and drive that I've never ever had. I work out at least 5 days a week, track every piece of food I eat or drink and it is working! You will be fine soon and will not regret it. Good luck.

I was also just banded 5 days ago and feel horrible. I have some good moments but then all of a sudden I feel horrible. This is my first surgery so I had no idea what to expect and I've been thinking the same thing, was it the right choice?? I get such bad gaseous pains inside my stomach that will go nowhere and make my chest feel like I'm having a heart attack. I really hope this is all normal because they made it sound like I'd be up and around in a couple days. Well, I feel the same way you do and thus I'm here reading everyone's advise

I know some of the pain is normal. I know that some of the pain is from the gas the Dr's pump our abdomens with. I cannot wait to get to pureed foods. i am so tired of drinking my meals. I go to my dr for my 1 week check up on Fri. I am looking forward to that. i do not have a scale here at home so I am intreseted in seeing how much I have lost. I can already see a change in my body which is absolutly awsome. I am just haning in there doing the best i can.

Yep. I was banded four days ago as well and am feeling the exact same way. I'm losing weight but with the way that I feel it almost doesn't matter! I'm hoping that this will pass soon, but it feels like it's just draaaaging on!

But please , if there is anyone considering using Dr Alfons Pomp , think again . He is all about his $ 50,000.00 fee and nothing else .

He ruthlessly in effect killed me . As I am know in the slow process of dying due to his disregard for my life . I feel like a character in that movie where the man knows he will die in 24 hours and has no control over the final outcome .

You simply do not perform Lap Ban Surgery on a candidate with 12 prior hospitalizations for pancreatitis , Especially when the candidate rigourously asks for you to confirm there is no contraindication . 'Oops is not an appropriate answer to a patient confronting you with your error with Allergens Web Site starring you in the face with the first contraindication being pancreatitis . This is criminal and he should be ADRESSED by New York State'S Medical Board.

After thousands of hours of research I have come to understand that the pain associated with post operative Lap Ban Surgery is almost always a form of pancreatititis , that is inflamation and irritation of the pancreas . This is what makes it painfull if not uncomfortable to take food in untill the pancreas has had a chance to rest , therefore only liquids and purees . This is incidently exactly the course of treatment for PANCREATITIS .( ISN'T THAT SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT ).

Hello,

I am so sorry to hear about your pain and discomfort. Are going to be ok? Can you please elaborate on what you mean by the surgeon killed you?

Hope all is well, hang in there,

Kob

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
