I craked myself up the other day!!!!!! I was talking on the phone to my girlfriend yesterday & my dog was sleeping on the couch. I bent over to pat him on the head & I said "I Love you Peanut Butter"-LOL my girlfriend said" Did you just say I love you Peanut Butter? "

I said I don't think I did & than it occured to me I had been calling my dog Peanut & Peanut butter for the past few weeks & have NEVER called him that before. I AM JUST SOOOO DAM HUNGRY That food is always on my mind subconsciosly! LOL

Oh my gosh i can't wait for the stupid mushie stage to begin!!!!

Christina....too funny. You should get together with Road Queen. She was considering sampling her dog's Alpo (thread in food forum). Hang in there. I know it's tough. You can do it though. Best wishes to you.

Hi Christina,

Glad you'll be on mushies in a couple of days. No telling what you would be calling your dog if it went on any longer...LOL. Poor things probably worried you want to eat him. Glad your surgery went well and you finally got your band. You couldn't have deserved it more. What's up with the calender planning? Best wishes, Teresa

Christina, I don't know how long your mushies stage is but it still gets too long. I just gave up on Thursday, bought an airplane ticket and flew to Minneapolis yesterday to go shopping. Can't think about food when you are hitting factory outlets like mad.

I don't know if you have looked at some of my other posts but cheese Soup combined with potato leek soup (for some substance) helps. I also have been using tons of chives, dill, etc.

BTW - I never did eat the Alpo.

Celeste

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
