Hey everybody! My name is Jess aka - jessiebear. I haven't been here in a while. I'm in need of support again. It is really hard to live with the band & not have anyone to support you that knows first hand what you are going through. I tried. It hasn't worked. I missed ya'll!!!

I was banded 1-26-2005. I had lost 90lbs before I had a problem with my band (1-2008) & had to have all of my fill taken out. I have had one fill since then (2-2008) & I am currently up to 2.0cc in a 4cc band. I still do not have restriction & I am eating everything that I can get my hands on!! I have gained 39lbs since January. EEEEEK!! I am going to schedule another fill just as soon as I can. Until then, I will be here! Hopefully I can use everyone's success stories to encourage me until then.

Hi there! I just got banded in May, and did really well at first. But now I've stopped losign weight, so it's back to the doctor for another fill for me too! It doesn't always go as planned, but at least we are trying!

Good luck to you, and I hope you can get back on track soon.

7_5_142.gif Jessie, your pics are so wonderful! You look so great! Try to remember portion controle while waiting for your sweet spot. Maybe keep pics of the new you and the old you hanging all around. We will help anyway we can. I pray this will work for you.

it is very frustrating when you are not loosing as fast as we first were. I am at the point where every pound seems to be a struggle. I know that everything that comes my way I have to be in control of me to not eat it. But, you know the one thing I feel is our problems, is we know the tricks of how we can eat around it and get what we want..which is old bad habits.

So....We have to put those OLD shots up...put them up everywhere you are at...and than the new shots right next to them...LOOK at the difference.....it is all worth it...

Get a fill......I usually am checked at least every 4-8 weeks..fill or no fill....

Good luck

Thanks guys! I was thinking the same thing ya'll were - pictures everywhere! I try not to buy bad foods - I don't buy bad foods. But it seems like I can make bad foods out of anything. I was always a closet binge eater & now that I have no restriction I find myself deviating back to old habits. & yes, I know how to eat around my band. It's very frustrating. It's all a mind game. I'm gonna win this time though.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
