Hey there, was just wondering if anyone knows, can you lie on your stomach (obviously once healed) or can you feel the port, just wondering if i'll ever be able to read my book like this in bed again :)

Yes, if you lie on your back and press down under you biggest incision you can feel your port.

Once healed, I am now able to lie on my stomach in bed just fine...but if I try to lie down on the living room floor...ouch! I guess the bed gives enough, but the floor doesn't give one bit!

Hope this helps!

I was banded August 21, 2008, and yes I can feel my port. I also am a stomach sleeper and being almost 2 weeks post op I can lie on my stomach without any problems. I can feel my port standing up and feeling the incisions, it feels very weird. My incisions are healing well and going back to work this week. Thank everyone for all the support

Veronica

I can feel the port if I want to, but it's definitely not in the way if I want to lay down.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
