  1. My doctor asked me again if I was drinking soda and I said occassionally. He said do not drink it, it will cause problems down the road, so I have decided to totally stop and no more cheating with Dr, Pepper, haha! anyway, I have found those packets that you pour into water bottles from Wyler's and Chrystal light and I like them. As much as I used to love water, believe it or not, it makes me gag sometimes now. Crazy, isn't it? Good Luck to Everyone, I am just a half pound away from losing 50 pounds and almost under 200!
  2. I wish you all the best! It feels good losing sizes, but this belly skin seems always in the way of a smaller size. Hopefully by next summer I can get lots of skin cut off and a boob job! Take care:thumbup:
  3. I wanted this second fill so badly and now I am sorry. I am so tight in the morning, and if I eat anything in the morning I am in trouble all day long. after having a small piece of zucchinni bread after a morning cup of tea I knew I made a mistake. I have been throwing up all day today even water.... I will be calling the doctor first thing in the morning.
  4. what is a fluro? My doctor had a hard time finding my port the first time also and I am concerned that the fill did not go into the band, I am as hungry as ever and I can eat almost anything. But I only had one fill so far. Thanks Debbie
  5. I had my first fill today also. The doctor had a hard time finding the port. I asked him how he knew he finally found it, he said he put some in and then withdrew it again. I hope it worked. Got 2 and half ccs. I am hungry still put I have to do liquids for a few days then mushy again. I wonder how long till I find the perfect fit
  6. my doctor tried to talk me into the bypass also, I don't know why they do this except that there is a quicker initial weight loss. But by doing alot of research, it seems like the band is better in the long run. I don't want to sound too negative, but the health problems will be just around the corner when you are overweight. I am a prime example. For years I said I am happy and healthy, then my BP went way up and my knees started really hurting. The Lapband is the tool I need to help me get healthy again
  7. well I guess I am going to join the club because I had one too! He did know about it before surgery and told me he was going to repair it. I never had any of the signs of it, so I wonder how many have them also without knowing. Things are going good for me although the weight loss is stalled and I have no idea why because the number of calories I eat a day does not seem like it could keep me alive!!! oh well, we will see what happens....
  8. thanks for the invite! I took my hubby last year to Dallas to see the Cowboys ( his team) and the Eagles ( my team). When my team won I was thrilled!!!! Anyway, the suburbs of Philly has beautiful countryside and alot of history, if you like that sort of thing! Take care Debbie
  9. I miss it! I did love Diet Dr Pepper too! I miss it so much, but I want to be successful in this whole thing so I am never going to have it again. One day I bought some Diet 7UP and put it in the blender and let it go flat, but it was just not the same. So Everytime I crave soda I will just feel how small my stomach is getting and grab the water bottle instead!
  10. my goodness they have to start somewhere! My surgeon is only 34 and I asked him how many lapbands he had done and he said 100. I was a bit worried but he was very caring and checked up on me constantly. You have to go with your gut instinct!
  11. I would call your doctor and tell him all about this.
  12. wow when I found this thread I was so happy! I am 53 and just got my license last summer I was never on a bike till I was 48!!!! My hubby and I just got married at the Oklahoma HOG rally on July 4th, 2008! But we are from the PHilly area! I love riding backrest even though I have a Buell Blast and a cfmoto. I LOVE my hubby's 07 electraglide. I just sit back and enjoy and now I can only imagine how much easier it will be for him since I am losing all this weight!!!! I think because I started riding so late in my life, the fears are harder to overcome, but one thing at a time! Everyone! take care and Never ride faster than your Guardian angle can fly!!!!
  13. We live in Philly are but are HOG members. We could not make the 105 bash because of my surgery, but we did get married at the HOG rally in Tulsa OK on July 4th and we both worked at the PA HOG rally early august. Ride on!
  14. :redface:I have started mushie foods today. I had a little bit of ricotta cheese with a little bit of gravy ( or as most non italians call it spagetti sauce), I was thinking how good it would be with some chopped spinach in it, so my question is, has anyone had trouble or success with spinach in the mushie stage? thanks Debbie
  15. my pain is not in my neck either, but in my shoulder. It is getting lighter and less frequent, but I still get it occassionally. It goes away!
