    Soda soda soda

My doctor asked me again if I was drinking soda and I said occassionally. He said do not drink it, it will cause problems down the road, so I have decided to totally stop and no more cheating with Dr, Pepper, haha! anyway, I have found those packets that you pour into water bottles from Wyler's and Chrystal light and I like them. As much as I used to love water, believe it or not, it makes me gag sometimes now. Crazy, isn't it? Good Luck to Everyone, I am just a half pound away from losing 50 pounds and almost under 200!

    Had a tummy tuck today

I wish you all the best! It feels good losing sizes, but this belly skin seems always in the way of a smaller size. Hopefully by next summer I can get lots of skin cut off and a boob job! Take care:thumbup:
  3. Hello Veronica, I have not been on here in a while but I was wondering how you are doing. I have lost almost 50 pounds and it seems like it took forever but it was a while until they found my sweet spot, Now I love having the lapband!

    Tight in the morning

I wanted this second fill so badly and now I am sorry. I am so tight in the morning, and if I eat anything in the morning I am in trouble all day long. after having a small piece of zucchinni bread after a morning cup of tea I knew I made a mistake. I have been throwing up all day today even water.... I will be calling the doctor first thing in the morning.

    Can't find the port?

what is a fluro? My doctor had a hard time finding my port the first time also and I am concerned that the fill did not go into the band, I am as hungry as ever and I can eat almost anything. But I only had one fill so far. Thanks Debbie
  6. I had my first fill today also. The doctor had a hard time finding the port. I asked him how he knew he finally found it, he said he put some in and then withdrew it again. I hope it worked. Got 2 and half ccs. I am hungry still put I have to do liquids for a few days then mushy again. I wonder how long till I find the perfect fit

    Hello

my doctor tried to talk me into the bypass also, I don't know why they do this except that there is a quicker initial weight loss. But by doing alot of research, it seems like the band is better in the long run. I don't want to sound too negative, but the health problems will be just around the corner when you are overweight. I am a prime example. For years I said I am happy and healthy, then my BP went way up and my knees started really hurting. The Lapband is the tool I need to help me get healthy again

    Hiatal Hernia Club...

well I guess I am going to join the club because I had one too! He did know about it before surgery and told me he was going to repair it. I never had any of the signs of it, so I wonder how many have them also without knowing. Things are going good for me although the weight loss is stalled and I have no idea why because the number of calories I eat a day does not seem like it could keep me alive!!! oh well, we will see what happens....

    Banded Bikers?

thanks for the invite! I took my hubby last year to Dallas to see the Cowboys ( his team) and the Eagles ( my team). When my team won I was thrilled!!!! Anyway, the suburbs of Philly has beautiful countryside and alot of history, if you like that sort of thing! Take care Debbie

    Soda soda soda

I miss it! I did love Diet Dr Pepper too! I miss it so much, but I want to be successful in this whole thing so I am never going to have it again. One day I bought some Diet 7UP and put it in the blender and let it go flat, but it was just not the same. So Everytime I crave soda I will just feel how small my stomach is getting and grab the water bottle instead!

Should I be concerned about my surgeon?

my goodness they have to start somewhere! My surgeon is only 34 and I asked him how many lapbands he had done and he said 100. I was a bit worried but he was very caring and checked up on me constantly. You have to go with your gut instinct!

    Banded Bikers?

wow when I found this thread I was so happy! I am 53 and just got my license last summer I was never on a bike till I was 48!!!! My hubby and I just got married at the Oklahoma HOG rally on July 4th, 2008! But we are from the PHilly area! I love riding backrest even though I have a Buell Blast and a cfmoto. I LOVE my hubby's 07 electraglide. I just sit back and enjoy and now I can only imagine how much easier it will be for him since I am losing all this weight!!!! I think because I started riding so late in my life, the fears are harder to overcome, but one thing at a time! Everyone! take care and Never ride faster than your Guardian angle can fly!!!!

    "Real Food"

:redface:I have started mushie foods today. I had a little bit of ricotta cheese with a little bit of gravy ( or as most non italians call it spagetti sauce), I was thinking how good it would be with some chopped spinach in it, so my question is, has anyone had trouble or success with spinach in the mushie stage? thanks Debbie
  18. my pain is not in my neck either, but in my shoulder. It is getting lighter and less frequent, but I still get it occassionally. It goes away!
  19. Sweetie WE ARE BEHIND YOU!!!!!! you have to do this for you not for anyone else. Tell your sister to ask your mother to understand you are doing this for YOUR health and you do not need any added stress at this time. Tell her to say, when you are out of the hospital you will talk to your mother as long as she does not put pressure on you and only has positive things to say. Your mother sounds like my Mom. When I had a home birth with one of my sons, she was told she could not be there if she said anything negative. She ended up coming and was very quiet all day, which was a miracle. I know she is worried, but you have to do what is right for you! I don't want to sound cold, but worry about yourself now and her after the surgery! When she sees your health improve and how great you will look and feel, she will be sorry she ever was against it! Take care! Debbie and remember we are all 100% behind you! If you need a friend to talk on the phone with, I will call you!

    lots of gas

Not all of us were cursed with the gas problem, but I was one of the people who had it. I am 11 days after the surgery and I still get the occassional gas pain in my left shoulder, but they have gotten less frequent and lighter. If only we could use this gas to run our cars!!!! haha!
  23. Good Luck to you with your Tummy Tuck I know I have to get one when I reach my goal, My stomach hangs so badly now and looks so ugly! Good luck to you and speedy recovery!
