New weight range

Recommended Posts

Hi all

I have been in the low 80kg for so long, I tend to forget to weigh myself. Then this weekend, I weighed myself and I am not longer in the 80kgs. I am now 79.9kg which is worth celebrating! I will crack open the chips and the chocolate....oops no I won't

I am really happy because that means I am less than 10kg away from my goal. It won't be easy as the last few months I have been in plateau a few times, but I think I have hit the sweet spot, and my weight may fall consistently (if slowly!).

:crying::biggrin::wink2::biggrin::wub::biggrin::tt1::biggrin::tt1: <==== happy happy me!

I feel so stupid, but when people talk with the "kg" speak, I am totally confused and have no idea how much weight that is. I didn't learn that system at all in my poor public school upbringing... But, it sounds like it is good since you want to Celebrate, so GRATZ girl!! Any excuse to eat naughty food sounds good to me. LOL.

coolcrystal

I kilogram (kg) is worth 2.2 pounds (lbs).

So in pound terms 80kg is 176lbs to 70 kg is 154 lbs

I have lost 19kg which is 41.8 lbs!

coolcrystal, I feel the same way about lbs. and I am stumped when the british talk about stones and pounds.

Google is good for you, type

  • 80kg in lbs
  • 200lbs in kg

I just typed

  • typed 143-116, got 27
  • typed 27 kg in lbs, got 27 kilograms = 59.5248108 pounds

I lost almost 60 lbs!!! (seems much nicer than 27kg)

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
