Almost 3 weeks!

I hear you I screeched to a halt on my preop this week for a few days! Then today they went down 200grams. Can't complain though to date I have lost a total of 10 kilos (~22 pounds) about 7.6kilos (16.72pounds) on the preop :crying:

And I keep telling myself that this will be a journey of ups and downs and that I shouldn't be discouraged or feel crap when stuff happens and my head moves into the right frame of mind! :wink2:

A wild journey at that! It looks like you are close to your date...congrats and good luck. We will be here waiting to hear all about it!

I'm in the same boat as well! I do get full fast and I only get head hunger when the DH and the kids are eating something really good.

You know what I don't get is why I'm not still losing? I used to eat over 2000 calories a per (I was a pig!) and now I'm under 1000 calories....restriction or no restriction you would like that I would be losing!

something tells me that our bodies have to get used to the abrupt changes. i think the only thing that i really took with me all these years of yo-yo dieting is that when you skip meals or drastically reduce your calorie intake, i seem to remember that your body's first reaction is that your starving so it holds onto all that it can. but i could be completely wrong...but hey it sounds good at least.

Good job Gilta! The head hunger is always tempting. I was down 36 lbs (20 pre op) and it came to a screaching halt, but I did my measurements and I'm down between 1-2" off my waist, legs, butt, thighs and arms. It's enough to keep me going:) It's going to be a fight for sure, but we can do it:) Moe

Moe - good call on the measuring! If you have slowed on weight loss, measure. I found the same thing, I had lost from 1-2" everywhere, for a total of 8.5" lost!

I can't wait to get to the soft food stage, if I eat one more yogurt or bowl of cottage cheese, I might just crack and eat a cheeseburger, just kiddin'! I think our bodies are trying to figure out what the heck we are doing to them!

I go for my first fill next Wed and I can't wait to have some restriction, right now I feel like I have none at all. I have been really good about watching what I eat and staying to the mushies, but the head hunger has been killer!

It is so nice to have all of you going through the same thing and know that there are people who get it when I need to vent!

Cutie I am sure your body is just getting use to less calories and is storing fat. It won't take long and you will start to see those pounds fall off.

Thanks I'm sure your right! I also would be very depressed right now if I didn't have everyone's support!

For those of you three weeks out (me, that'll be me, me, me tomorrow! me!) - what have you been doing for exercise? I've been walking alot, getting back into biking with short 8-10 mile rides every other day, but I feel like I should be doing more.

I think I'm just jonesing to start weight training and core work again. But the thought of creasing my poor middle with its four incisions and port while doing sit-ups is keeping me from making the plunge.

So, what's everyone doing for exercise?

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
